The Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM) has set as a goal the establishment of NOEs (Networks Of Excellence) in statistical mathematics since 2010. With the formation of NOEs in each research field，ISM aims to pursue for a new approach for advanced strategic research. Besides ISM aims to establish for a bland new "network-type" joint use/joint research.
