The Invited Article of the second Akaike Memorial Lecture (with Discussion) on AISM has been published.

The Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM) and the Japan Statistical Society (JSS) founded the Akaike Memorial Lecture Award under their joint sponsorship in May, 2016. The second award ceremony and Akaike Memorial Lecture were held as the plenary session of the JSS in the 2018 Japanese Joint Statistical Meeting, which was held at Korakuen Campus, Chuo University on September 10, 2018.

The lecturer was the second awardee, Professor Mike West of Duke University, USA. The invited article of the second Akaike Memorial Lecture (with Discussion) was published on vol.72, No.1 of the Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics (AISM) in 2020.
