History of Projects

Following three preparatory forums beginning in 2004, the Risk Analysis Research Center of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics was founded in April 2005. Originally, our center consisted of three research groups with the aim of developing and promoting statistical methodologies for risk analysis that are applicable across different fields. Since then, we have launched research projects in response to societal demands for risk analysis. Our center is now spearheading seven projects to address the changing needs of society.
