2月27日、理化学研究所計算科学研究機構にてデータ同化ワークショップを開催した。
今回は、同会場で前日まで(2月23日から26日まで)開催されていた国際ワークショップ The fourth International Symposium on Data Assimilation (ISDA)への海外からの出席者の聴講を促すため、使用言語を英語として開催した。招待講演として、近年データ同化研究が進みつつある航空工学分野での適用例として、加藤博司氏に航空工学における流体問題へのデータ同化の応用に関する講演をいただいた。その他、気象研究所・理化学研究所・海洋研究開発機構・統計数理研究所からも興味深い講演があった。当日は計41名の参加があり（うち、ドイツ6名、米国1名、カナダ1名、香港1名）、活発な議論を行うことができた。
