This homepage offers results from all questions, cross-tabulated by age group in 5-year increment and gender, as inlucded in the surveys conducted in the USA and Japan in 2010 by the international comparative survey research team of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics (Chair: Ryozo Yoshino). There were a total of 54 questions on various aspects of values about society, politics and culture broadly defined, supplemented by a few questions tapping into basic demographic information. While the respective reports you can visit from the above links were published in Japanese, for obvious reasons all the questions used in the field in the USA were prepared and conducted in English and as such you will find that the majority of materials provided in the USA report are presented in English verbatim. Please do note that the corresponding 54 questions in the report on Japan are meant to be literal translations of the questions as they are written in English. We are expecting to conduct fieldwork in the countries/areas listed above in 2011 and beyond.
