In this talk the speaker gives a general procedure to find
deep holes of integral lattices. So far a general method
to find them has not been given in higher dimensions.
For so-called root lattices Conway and Sloane give a method
to find deep holes by using Voronoi cells associated with
such lattices. Outsied the root lattices no general method is
given.
In the present talk a linear programming method is introduced.
One strong advantage is that it does not rely on the Voronoi cells,
hence it applies to most lattices.
