An MOU was signed with FIPI, Vietnam, June 2nd, 2015
A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM) and the Forest Inventory and Planning Institute (FIPI) of Vietnam.
A signing ceremony was held at ISM on June 2nd, 2015. Dr. Nguyen Nghia Bien, Director-General of FIPI of Vietnam visited to ISM. Prof. Higuchi, Director-General, Prof. Ito, Vice Director-General, Prof. Yamashita, Director of the Risk Analysis Research Center and Prof. Yoshimoto of ISM attended the ceremony.
Then Prof. Higuchi explained an outline of ISM to Dr. Bien. After that Dr. Bien and the ISM members enjoyed information exchange and discussion for their future plans of research collaboration. The MOU contains an agreement of Risk Research NOE (Network Of Excellence) of ISM and related activities. ISM expects to expand collaborative research activities in the ASEAN countries.
