The Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM) signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs). One is with Timber Pricing Section, Ministry of Forest, British Colombia, Canada, and the other is with Department of Forest Management and Remote Sensing, Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences, Czech University of Life sciences, Prague.
The signing ceremony took place at ISM on March 13th, 2024. Dr. Patrick Asante from Canad and Prof. Peter Surovy from Czech visited ISM as the signers for each MOU. Prof. Hiroe Tsubaki, Director-General as the signer, Prof. Kazuhiro Minami, Vice Director-General and Prof. Atsushi Yoshimoto who is the contact perso of each MOU were attended from ISM.
International Internship Seminar by AgFReM Research Consortium also took
place at ISM from March 12 as well, which was hosted by Prof. Yoshimoto.
Visitors from Cambodia, Laos, Indonasia, Austria Portgul, Korea, Nepal
Vietnum, Sapporo Medical Univ. and Ryukyu Univ. were joind before and after
the ceremony. It was harmonious and successful although limited in time.
