Abstract:
The information society results in various changes of the social survey environment, such as decrease of response rates, difficulty of gaining a list and prevalence of internet surveys. The objective of this paper is to have a perspective to address them. Some survey cases in the United States are examined to do so. Therefore this paper points out that revising the survey concept, examining internet or mixed modes of organization or non-consciousness surveys, improving survey researches and collecting supplementary information through proceeding meta-research of many existing surveys are important.
